Babanango Outdoor Education (BOE), based at Matatane Wilderness Camp in the heart of Zululand,
is only a 3 hour drive from Durban. Over the past 21 years, BOE has been widely recognized as one of
South Africa’s leading outdoor adventure camps.
BOE can host students within a safely protected 130ha area, and several non-dangerous game species call the camp their home, including Zebra, Kudu, Impala and Nyala.
We offer tailor-made activities with our qualified facilitators, from leadership, life-skills and ecology.
Our location also gives us the opportunity to offer your school, guided visits to historical sites and battlefields in the surrounding areas. Our multi-platform gorge Zipline offers a unique bucket-list activity,
for students to explore the rich geological importance of the White Umfolozi river.
