Nozibusiso (Nozi) Kubheka
Nozi is BOE’s Head Camp Facilitator and is passionate about creating memorable outdoor learning experiences for every group that visits Matatane Camp. She oversees programme itineraries and enjoys facilitating team-building activities that help learners grow in confidence and work together. Her warm nature, positive energy and wonderful sense of humour make her a valued leader and a favourite among learners and staff alike.
Thokozani (Tkay) Mbatha
Known to many learners as “Tkay”, Thokozani is one of BOE’s outdoor facilitators and zipline instructors. A passionate soccer enthusiast, he enjoys leading hiking and team-building activities that encourage confidence, teamwork and personal growth. His calm nature, positive attitude and ability to connect with learners make him a valued member of the BOE team.
Sakhudumo (Sakhi) Mtshali
Sakhi is one of BOE’s outdoor facilitators and zipline instructors with a passion for cultural and environmental education. He enjoys sharing his knowledge of indigenous trees and their traditional medicinal uses while guiding learners through river-based activities and the Modern-day Zulu Village experience. His enthusiasm, storytelling and great sense of humour help create memorable learning experiences for every group.
Siyethemba (Siye) Mfekayi
Siye is one of BOE’s dedicated outdoor facilitators who is passionate about helping learners learn, grow and connect with the natural world. Through a variety of educational and recreational activities, he encourages curiosity, teamwork and personal development. His friendly nature and enthusiasm help create memorable experiences for every group that visits Matatane Camp.
Thamsanqa (Thami) Mhlongo
Thami is one of BOE’s outdoor facilitators and is passionate about creating engaging learning experiences in the natural environment. She enjoys working with learners through a variety of educational and adventure-based activities, helping them build confidence, teamwork and a greater appreciation for the outdoors. Her positive attitude and enthusiasm make her a valued member of the BOE team.
Byron Wright-Warneke
As BOE’s newest facilitator, Byron brings a wealth of experience from outdoor education programmes and school camps across South Africa. He is also one of our zipline instructors and has a passion for wildlife conservation, particularly snake awareness and education. Byron enjoys helping learners discover that even the most misunderstood animals have an important place in nature, inspiring curiosity, respect and a greater appreciation for the role wildlife plays in our world.
